Opening of City of Tshwane Accounts
We can gladly assist with the opening of City of Tshwane Accounts.
Two Accounts must be opened, except if services are provided by a body corporate or 3rd party.
*Rates and Taxes account
* Services account (electricity, water, sanitation)
Herewith
* C o T service application form
* power of attorney
Please complete and send to us with
* copy of all the owners id
* Deed search (Attorney can issue one)
* Letter from attorney confirms registration of the property
*Proof of payment

TOTAL R1450 if we must open both the accounts (our fee)
If a Tshwane pre-paid meter is installed or services is provided by a 3rd party then no deposit is payable.
Please note that rates and taxes account have to be opened first, before the water and electricity account can be opened. Some attorneys notify the C o T of the transaction, but it’s not a guarantee that the rates and taxes will be opened

C O T Account Queries
We can certainly help to sort out your Tshwane account queries and problems
Tshwane appointed 34 law firms to collect the outstanding money of 17 billion Rand.
It will definitely be in your interest to sort out and rectify your account.
Herewith a power of attorney form to be completed and sent to us with
* a copy of account holders id
* photos of meters, with the date that photo is taken
* Full explanation of the problem, with dates, any Tshwane reference nrs etc…
* Proof of payment of
R485 for 1 visit to acquire statement or for updating of billing information.
OR
R985 for 2 visits to a Tshwane office
OR
R1385 for 5 visits to a Tshwane office rectify the account.
If we have to visit Tshwane offices more than 2 or 5 times respectively, an additional fee of R485 per visit is payable , on request.

* Our fee doesn’t include any legal work or declaration of a dispute.
* We are dependent on the cooperation of Tshwane officials and sometimes cases can take time to resolve. We do constant follow-ups and the case will eventually be solved.
After we received the above-mentioned we will be able to assist.
Tshwane Pre-paid Meter Applications
A Tshwane pre-paid meter is by far the best solution to get rid of estimated and high Tshwane electricity accounts.
Tshwane technicians will replace the conventional meter with a Tshwane pre-paid meter.
The normal waiting period for a Tshwane pre-paid meter is between 9 and 12 months.
BUT, we submit your application and follow it up right to the installation section. We usually get the installation between 2 to 3 months.

* first page of municipal account
* proof of payment of R4925 (application, meter and registration)
After we received the abovementioned we will be able to assist.
Please take note that your Tshwane Account must be all time in a credit balance before we can submit the application and Tshwane will do the Installation.
If we have to resubmit the application, due to the fact of an outstanding Tshwane account a resubmission fee of R450 is payable before we will resubmit.
Account Cancelation and Refunds
We can assist with the Cancelation of your City of Tshwane Account and/or the Refund of any credit on the account.

* Copy of 1st page of the municipal account.
* Letter from the conveyancer, stipulated date of registration of the property into the new owners name.

If we must do both the fee will only be R1400
*Please take note that we are dependent on the cooperation of Tshwane officials. Sometimes cases take longer to finalize, we do regularly follow ups and eventually get it sorted.
After we received the abovementioned documents we will open a file and proceed with your case.
